Deepak Ingole

Dr. Deepak Ingole is a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, Belgium. He is a member of Thermal Systems Simulation (The SySi) research group. From 2017 – 2020, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the MAGnUM project of the European Research Council (ERC) at IFSTTAR/ ENTPE/ University of Lyon. In 2017, he was awarded PhD degree in Process Control engineering and at the same time, he was working as a Marie Curie early stage researcher in TEMPO project of the European Union’s FP-7 program at Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Before moving to Slovakia he was a Project Engineer for 2 years in Virtual Labs project at College of Engineering Pune, India. He received Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with specialization in Process Control from College of Engineering Pune, India in 2012 and Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the University of Pune, India in 2010.
In 2016, he was a visiting researcher with the Control Group at University of Oxford, and in 2017 he was a visiting researcher with the Power and Control Group at Imperial College London. His research interests include

Recently, in 2019 (September) he with his co-authors received an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Bavaria, Germany Best Paper Award in a conference mobil.TUM2019. In 2014, he was awarded by the Marie Curie Actions fellowship for 3 years under TEMPO project of European Union’s FP-7 program and the best paper award at 3rd international Conference on Control, Communication and Power Engineering (CCPE-2012), Springer, Bangalore, India in 2012. He served as a technical reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

Vihangkumar Naik

Vihangkumar Naik have completed PhD from Systems, Control, and Optimization (DYSCO) research unit, under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Bemporad at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, Italy with a thesis titled ‘Mixed-Integer Quadratic Programming Algorithms for Embedded Control and Estimation‘.

He received M.Tech in Instrumentation & Control (Process Instrumentation) from Embedded Systems Lab, under the supervision of Dr. D. N. Sonawane, Dept. of Instrumentation & Control Engineering, College of Engineering, Pune (COEP), India, in 2012 and B.E. in Instrumentation & Control under the supervision of Prof. Utpal T. Pandya, from Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology, Surat, India in 2009.

Prior to joining IMT Lucca in 2015, he worked as an Assistant Project Engineer in Virtual Lab Project at College of Engineering, Pune (COEP), India, and as an Engineer at Embedded Systems Centre of Excellence (ES CoE), Eaton India Engineering Center (EIEC), Eaton Technologies Private Limited, Pune, India towards design and verification of FPGA based projects for Aerospace products catering to RTCA/DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware) standard.

Saket Adhau

Saket Adhau is a Machine Learning Research Assistant at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Trøndelag, Norway. He did Master of Technology in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with specialization in Biomedical Engineering, at College of Engineering, Pune.

Chaitanya Jugade

Chaitanya Jugade is a Ph.D. researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Netherlands. Before joining as a Ph.D. researcher, he was a Project Engineer for one year in Embedded Systems Lab, College of Engineering Pune, India. He received a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with specialization in Process Instrumentation from the College of Engineering, Pune, India, in 2020. Before joining M.Tech, he worked as a Programmer Analyst in Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited, Pune, India, for two years. He completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Instrumentation and Control from Government College of Engineering Amravati, India, in 2015.

​As a Project Engineer, he worked on Robust Non-linear Model Predictive Control with Deep Learning technique for real-time control system applications. He did his master's thesis in Embedded Systems Lab under the supervision of Dr. D. N. Sonawane. ​His master's thesis is titled "A Memory Efficient Embedded Model Predictive Control." As a part of his thesis work, he worked on Model Predictive Control (MPC), Optimization, Embedded MPC, Complexity reduction techniques, Posit-based memory-efficient MPC, Embedded Systems, and HIL co-simulation for real-time control system applications.
